Greetings and salutations!
When discussing digital photography, one would be amiss if
there was no mention of the software giant “Photoshop”. When Henry Fox Talbot introduced
the calotype (the first negative from which multiple positive prints were made),
photography was given the ability to alter and manipulate the photographic
image. With the use of a negative, we have the ability of altering exposure
time through controlling the amount of light which could be exposed to the
photographic material. Now, close to 175 years later, digital photography now
has the ability to alter and edit our images on a pixel by pixel basis.
This is the usual point where all but the most ingrained code
monkey would fluff their pillow and wonder if that half eaten slice of pizza
was still in the fridge. That’s why I have decided not to bore you with the
history of Photoshop interfaces and jump right into the meat of what we all
want to see. Here is a quick collection of digitally manipulated images that
just blew my mind. Enjoy -Tim
